About | loving Fort Lauderdale

Like most people in South Florida, I’m what they call a transplant – which means I wasn’t born here. But I’ve lived in Fort Lauderdale for more than five years now and because I may not live here forever, I wanted to use this blog as a platform to document the things that I love about the place I currently call home.

Fort Lauderdale, like most places, has its strengths and weaknesses. For me, one of its greatest aspects is the climate and nature – but I promise, I do intend on posting more than just flower pics (eventually, I hope).

Some posts may just be photos, other days may only be text, but I’ll strive to post almost everyday.

I take all photos posted, unless otherwise noted. I usually shoot with a Sony NEX C-3, which isn’t as hardcore as an SLR, but it has the option to change lenses and a ton of really fun settings. It’s a great beginning camera (easy to use, lightweight for travel) for someone who’s ready to make the move from a point-and-shoot. And sometimes, when I don’t have my camera on me, I’ll shoot with my iPhone.

If you have questions about anything or would like to use the images please feel free to contact me and I’d be honored to share so long as photo credit is provided.

Thanks for exploring … and feel free to drop me a note, comment or suggestion. Cheers!
